Exclusive Use

Gilpin Lake House was designed with exclusive use in mind. It is a perfect size for small meetings or weddings, or for groups of friends or families. Whether your event is for leisure or business, the Lake House provides an inspiring location to bring minds and hearts together.

The conservatory is perfect as a meeting room, wedding reception room, or simply for a private dinner party. Our chefs will prepare and provide whatever your party desires, from comfort food to gastronomic tasting menus with perfectly matched wines.

Alternatively, you may decide to have a private party at the Lake House one evening, and join us at the hotel on another (the hotel also has private dining rooms). Perhaps a barbeque on the Lake House lawn, or a sumptuous picnic at Viewpoint?

Cocktails can be served by the lake jetty, the Boathouse, at the Druids circle, on the Kitchen Garden Terrace, in the Spa, the lounge, or the hotel bar. Most importantly, the location lends itself to designing interesting and exciting itineraries, supported by a highly experienced team.

The conservatory at the Lake House is a perfect venue for up to twenty, so if your party is slightly larger than twelve, up to four bedrooms may be taken at the Hotel. The chauffeur will automatically be on call, at all times, to ferry guests to and from the Hotel.

Of course, we understand that some guests taking the Lake House for exclusive use will want a team of staff providing full service at all times, and that others for reasons of privacy will want minimal or very discreet service. We can adapt accordingly, but please note the Lake House is not available for self-catering.

We can arrange most outdoor activities on-site, including fishing, boating, shooting, horse riding, archery, mountain biking, walking, croquet, paintballing, and treasure hunts. Please see the activities section for more information. Click here.

For indoor activities, as well as the Lake House Spa, the conservatory has been fully equipped with audio-visual equipment, ideal for meetings, as a cinema or for computer games.
