Booking Conditions

Weekends

Minimum booking at weekends is normally two nights.

Bank Holidays

Minimum booking at bank holiday weekends is normally three nights. Bank holiday weekends (excluding the festive period) are charged at ‘per night’ rates (no break rates available).

Children

Gilpin Lodge is not considered suitable for children under 7 years old.

Dress Code

Our dress code is casual but smart.

Smoking

We are a non-smoking hotel.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the hotel, but are of course welcome to remain in suitable vehicles, or we have a private arrangement for dogs with a neighbouring farm.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is from 2pm; check-out is by 11am. Please let us know if you would like to request an earlier check-in or later check-out.

Deposits and Guarantees

A deposit of £150.00 per room will be charged; in the event of cancellation this is refundable, subject to our conditions of booking. All bookings must be guaranteed by the provision of details of a credit or debit card (alternatively, a deposit of 80% of the booking value is payable at the time of making the reservation). For Christmas and New Year bookings full payment is required in lieu of deposit.

Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation or reduction in the booking, applicable cancellation charges will be calculated as 80% of the booking value. No charges will be made providing that 14 days notice are given of cancellation of reservations involving up to 2 rooms or 28 days of reservations of more than 2 rooms. Cancellation charges will not apply if the accommodation is re-let except for any shortfall. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Our full Terms of Booking will be sent with written confirmation of reservations.

Insurance

We strongly recommend insurance against cancellation. Holiday insurance can be arranged easily and inexpensively through Travellers Protection Services Ltd (tel 0870 774056), which provides UK holiday insurance.

Payment

All major credit and debit cards are accepted, as are cash and travellers cheques. Cheques are accepted only to the value of an accompanying valid bankers card.
