Join us over the Christmas and New Year period and enjoy a true Lakeland festive season – with all the peace, tranquillity and relaxation you could wish for. Whether you prefer to stay in the warmth by a roaring fire with hot chocolate and mince pies, or venture out into the winter wonderland with a festive packed lunch, let us organise it for you.
Christmas 2007
For the Christmas break, arrive in time for afternoon tea on Sunday 23 December 2007. You will be here for four nights of gastronomy, hospitality and entertainment with plenty of time too for relaxation. Christmas Day is centred on 'The Christmas Feast' – a Victorian-style traditional Christmas banquet starting mid-afternoon and proceeding at a leisurely pace into the early evening; a buffet supper is served later. Boxing Day has become a memorable tradition at Gilpin Lodge, with a unique outing and splendid lunch. Also included are a Champagne reception, and afternoon tea daily (except on Christmas Day and Boxing Day).
The 'In-Between' Break 2007
Another excellent and long-standing tradition at Gilpin Lodge is the In-Between Break, a two-night recuperative break between Christmas and New Year.
New Year 2007
Spend four or five nights with us over the New Year, arriving 29 December 2007. The New Year Break includes a Champagne reception, our black tie Gala New Year’s Eve Dinner, a spectacular outing with lunch, and, with fires blazing in the lounge, a sumptuous afternoon tea each day.
The Festive Tariff 2007
All prices for the festive season are per person per stay, and in addition to the festivities mentioned above, include accomodation, five course dinner, full English breakfast and VAT.
