Once again the festive season beckons. Beliefs, expectations and intentions may vary, but many of us make something of this special time of year. Here are some suggestions for those who want to celebrate, just enjoy some carefree dining, or perhaps consider our festive packages.

Dining with us over the Festive Season

Festive Lunches

Unless a menu has been pre-arranged for a small party, lunch is à la carte and could be something light in front a blazing fire in one of the lounges, or luncheon served in the dining room. We also have a festive lunch menu.

Evening Dining

We are sometimes able to offer special rates for late bookings in December and January. If you are dining with us, perhaps stay the night? Luxuriate in one of our sumptuous bedrooms before joining us for aperitifs, and relax in the cosy lounges afterwards. Later, instead of driving home, simply toddle upstairs, and enjoy a sybaritic breakfast before heading off the following morning. Our rates for accomodation, breakfast and dinner start at £120 per person (based on double occupancy). Add a bottle of house Champagne and a gorgeous bunch of flowers in your room on arrival for just £80.

Small parties

Perhaps you would like to bring family or colleagues for a festive celebration ? We have private dining rooms that seat around ten to thirty people, and will happily devise personalised menus for your party - for lunch, dinner, or even breakfast! We are happy to take orders for up to ten in a party, but over that number would ask guests to pre-order.

Festive boat trips

On Boxing Day and the New Year bank holiday Monday, we take our guests onto a beautiful boat on Lake Windermere for a special luncheon. This is also available to non-residents, so if you would like to join us for this wonderful outing, please let us know (early booking is essential).

Christmas Day and New Year's Eve

We are of course also open to non-residents for our Christmas Day Feast, Boxing Day Lunch, and our New Year's Eve Gala Dinner. If you require transport home, we can arrange this for you if you let us know in good time.

For non-resident guests the Christmas Feast and the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner are both £100 per person. Early reservations for all of the above are recommended.
